This was the first time Yin and I shot one-on-one in quite a few years (more than I care to count, actually). So much has happened to each of us since that last shoot. Deaths, births, marriages and a lot of growth and change. I was thrilled when our schedules finally synched up so that we could get together and play in front of Michele's camera. This really was a new exploratory outing for us, with both of us figuring out where we were emotionally and physically and working out how to connect again through rope. Something that a lot of people don't consider when thinking about S/m play: people change and grow and what once was a comfortable fit may not be as we absorb and process the new. There's a myth out there that says you must remain the same as you always were or else you lose your (insert perceived role/status here) card. Neither Yin nor I believe in that myth and we knew that we'd have to locate the connection point and move from there. We're such great friends that we knew we'd be happy with the outcome because we both see this as a journey and an evolving process and it's so much fun to explore it together. Was this the most intense scene we'd ever done? Of course not. Was it one of the most touching and sweetly satisfying? Yes. Definitely. |
