Katie - S.F. Warehouse

Katie - S.F. Gym

In this first gallery, we found ourselves in a recently shut-down gym. Apparently the owner skipped town with all the money which sucked for the employees but was a boon for us. Our San Francisco location scout hooked us up and we had the run of the place and all the equipment.

Michele found the Pilates setup and insisted we use that – since Pilates is all about stretching the body out. Kudos to her for seeing the potential. What we shot was a submersion into a mindset that picked up where we left off making rope for fun.

Katie and I enjoyed pushing into a place that allowed us to be intense with the ties but still maintain that “bully/brat” sense of fun we always seem to inspire in each other. She allowed me to twist her body into odd shapes but I held onto her enough to let her know she was safe and she could let go and ride the bondage. Mutual safety is something I mention from time to time and in this case it meant that I knew Katie would speak up and tell me when she’d had enough or when something wasn’t feeling good and that made me feel safe in playing with her.

I think Michele captured that perfectly.

This place no longer exists. It was demolished not too long after we shot there. Thanks to Midori for making us fly out to San Francisco to shoot in it before it was gone. Shattered windows, marginally safe flooring (at best), exposed beams and desolate, wide open vista. It was our kind of place! I have to give props to Katie for shooting dressed as she was because it was bloody cold there!

This is a classic example of how to go with the flow when your first idea fails. We all loved the idea of suspending Katie in that lovely corset she brought but after I got her up, it was just too damned uncomfortable to work with, what with it compressing her diaphragm too much and cutting into her sides in a very bad way. So, off with the corset, on with more rope and take two was a success! Not only that but I hoisted myself up and we played side-by-side in mid-air. It was so much fun!

I can’t emphasize too much how important it was for Katie to allow herself to have fun in bondage. She’d gotten so used to doing rope for Website content and being told what to do and how to feel and how to look that bondage ceased being something she enjoyed. I am proud that Michele and I were able to reach that buried part of her and bring it to the surface. And I thank her for helping me strengthen my confidence as a rope top.

I hope we can find common ground in the future so that we can all share more.

It’s been three years since we shot with Katie and I can’t believe I haven’t posted these two galleries before now. That’s how it goes when you get caught up in doing other things and you try to figure out where everything fits together. For a while I’ve been trying to figure out where these galleries fit in the overall scheme of my rope life and I’ve finally decided to stop with the introspection and just put them up. They’re an excellent example of two people who are finding joy in playing with rope and connecting on the level that allows for truthful expression and sharing.

I’m putting more images in these two galleries than I normally do because it’s been so long since I’ve posted. I don’t think anyone will mind that.
