Judy

Finally I'm able to post a combined set of our friend Judy in San Francisco. This is from our second shoot together, two(!) years ago. I've been meaning to put these up here for quite a while now but I believe that timing is everything and this gallery comes at the right time for us all as we try to reconnect and find how we fit in each other's lives - mine, Michele's, Judy's and Yin (who introduced us to Judy). It's been an intense year for us all, especially for Judy, and I'm happy we're coming through it and getting stronger every day. She's dear to us all and I'm pleased to be able to share this element of our friendship here.

The first part of this set is called "Judy Godzilla", mainly because of the noises she and I made as I waltzed her, tied to a ladder, around that warehouse. Judy and I always have silly fun when we shoot together (there's another set I'll post soon that will prove that point).

The second part of this set was supposed to have been the debut of my own photos shot with my beloved, refurbished, Pentax K1000. I rigged Judy up, trooper that she is, in a web of rope and found a perfect vantage point to start shooting. I finished off a roll and started rewinding the film and *sproing!* the winder came apart in my hand! Fortunately Michele was shooting at the same time and captured the images I have here. Needless to say, I'm going to have to put that camera through a few more paces before I try to shoot a gallery for this site again.

Judy was very kind: she didn't even laugh at me when the camera came apart!
