People can change their names in the scene but it's a good thing when the person underneath the name can remain the same. Katie recently stopped using her nom du scene, Angelene Black, for reasons that will remain hers to tell. Suffice it to say, this is a change for the better in her life and it still leaves us with access to each other creatively and personally. She's a wonderful woman and she's got a lot on the ball.

In honor of that decision, I've renamed these images with her new (real) name. They still represent a step in our growing connection and exploration of our love of bondage. This whole set was a lot of fun to shoot; we just played around and did what felt right in rope -- including silly faces, tickling and reacting to being in a "spooooky" warehouse in Connecticut (see the picture to the left).

It's important to acknowledge the changes in the lives of my friends and to try to find some way to maintain our closeness and the connections that made us friends in the first place. Sometimes I meet with success; other times not so much. With Katie, I'm succeeding. Whenever she's in town and we all just hang out, we have a brilliant time and continue learning about each other. I'm looking forward to displaying more of our rope journey together, and to creating more rope art with her.
