New year, new look! I'm sitting with friends, watching The Princess Bride (and doing all the lines much to the consternation of my friends -- I'm a geek so sue me why don't you). I've been fretting over this redesign for quite a while now and I thought it fitting to launch it at the beginning of the new year. I am hold out great hopes for this year, despite all the challenges to our nation and the world. I have great hopes for the growth of the site, for my personal growth, and the possibility of sanity in our congress (if not the rest of the world).

I'm also figuring out what the word "home" means for me with regards to my domicile here in New York. I'm busy making changes to the apartment and I'm starting to feel more and more as though I have a home and not just a walk-in storage space that I sleep in. For quite a while now I've lived amongst nothing but boxes upon boxes upon boxes and now I actually have a space where I can entertain, write and feel at home. It's quite liberating.

I've also been reconnecting with people I haven't seen in a long time, coming out to some old friends and finding out some interesting things about folks I thought I knew. Life is full of surprises.

Now, what am I going to do about getting more flight time this year? I'm still in the market for a portable suspension frame. Or something like that. Any ideas out there?

Happy New Year one and all!

Namaste,
